The modification I would do, and one that I have done on both of my motorcycles is a lithium battery from Antigravity. I saved
9 lbs, and although they are a bit more expensive, it’s cheaper than any carbon fiber that would save that much weight. Plus the Antigravity ones have a reserve so that they save enough juice to start your bike before they go completely dead. They also will hold their charge longer, I no longer need to keep them on a trickle charger.

I don't know about this brand, but I agree about going to lithium battery.
Saving that much weight, that high on the bike, is a good thing. The effect
won't be felt in performance so much (I still would go with lighter wheels
as my first mod for handling and flat slide carbs for motor output), but
when I went to a lithium battery, my troubles around starting ended. This
is especially true when you've got high comp pistons and flat slide carbs;
which make starting trickier.
