So what happened to Jorge Martin at the start of the Qatar race?
He blamed the rear tire, but did his Launch Control not work? Did he not engage it?
I’m sure they at least had Traction Control? Nobody else on the same tires had that problem.
Come on, Jorge, admit you screwed up.  They sure closed the garage doors quickly after the race.

Thoughts?

Something went very wrong for sure. The anti-wheelie part of his Launch
Control software worked fine. The traction control, not so much. They knew
about this as he’d had problems all weekend when doing practise starts. So,
he literally fried his rear tire with that start. The tires surface temps went
too high while the internal temp and pressures didn’t. He was riding on
grease so he went backwards in dramatic fashion. By doing all that hard
charging during the first part of the race he just used up what little
“good” that rear had left. I’m sure it was sooo bad that they didn’t
want anyone to see it after the race hence the reason for quickly closing the
door.
