So after 25 years of ever advancing technologies they still can’t do better
then what they got out of the 550cc Supermono engine. IIRC 78 h.p. at 10K rpm
and the rev. limit was 11K. Tsk Tsk I say.
I’m still waiting for the street version of that little gem.

Knowing a guy that owns a Supermono, and knowing a guy that raced one
regularly, I find it hard to believe that original 75HP number AT ALL.
Most of those bikes had motors rebuilt to a higher spec because they
weren't putting out the numbers they expected.  Wonder if my buddy will let
me dyno his???

Remember the o!d bike was in race trim.  The new one is in street trim and
will meet Euro 5.  Race tune is considerably more

HP numbers.   People tend to forget the MX  450 KTM is potting out 64 ponies at the rear wheel  so figuring in the additional displacement I don’t doubt the figures.
