Valencia; no mention on MotoGP of rail strike tomorrow

I may have to go to Plan B.

I have no idea what proportion of fans take the train as opposed to drive
or take taxis, but I do know that it's a lot of people. When I've taken the
trains before, they are usually SRO and packed like sardine cans. Going in,
the train might have zero room after leaving the first station in Valencia,
and coming back, there is a swarm of people, hundreds upon hundreds, all
crowded before the platform, waiting for the next train.

The Renfe train site, which usually has the departure times for the trains
up by now, has no trains listed ("please check back later.").

At least the strike is only tomorrow (other scheduled strike days are after
the weekend).

It's not just the racing that exciting.

My experience with getting to that race is riding a motorcycle is by far
the best way but pay serious attention to where you parked or you won’t
find your bike till Monday. The train is so packed and the train platform
is so packed, it’s hours of waiting nuts to butts with a jillion people.
Great place to be a pickpocket though.
My friends took a taxi on Monday to the test and that was normal. I almost
always rent a scooter when I do the GP’s. It’s by far the fastest way in
and out.
But I know Kevin knows all this already.

I'll post a photo or two on Facebook.
I got lucky today. I hoofed it immediately after Free Practice ended and
was able to cram into the first train. It was SRO for sure. In the past,
especially right after the pandemic, I took cabs on Sundays - pretty quick,
easy and not too expensive if you find others to share the ride with. Since
I am a resident, but don't have a driver's license, I can't take a
motorbike or scooter to the track. For me, part of the adventure is the
train ride.
I won't talk about the practices, so as not so spoil.
