What an interesting race and am so happy to see Jack make it two in a row.
I also thought it was pretty special how Pecco made his way up the ladder
to 4th, not to mention Zarco's podium.

I'm not sure what to make of Honda's poor showing except that their bike
doesn't seem to be as competitive as in the past.  I also cannot recall
ever seeing MM look so disappointed after a race.  And what about KTM and
Suzuki?  Both did so well last year and are struggling this year.

SuperBru picks are such a roll of the dice!  I made my picks after FP2 and
was able to pick my top 10 easily but the finishing order, forget it.

PS Am now the proud owner of yet another ST2, this time an '02 with a
little over 20,000 miles on the clock

Much to my surprise I’m still doing pretty good in Superbru.  I had all three podiums but they shuffled late in the race and my picks ended up Ist, 3rd and 2nd.  After 6th place there wasn’t a single one of my picks still running. As much of a crap shoot as the whole thing is, getting the 2 point early pick bonus is the key and only way to do good at all. Also having the timing package from MotoGP helps a lot because you can see who is on what tires so the results are clearer when you are using them to pick early.

On that - it really bums me out that I have the video package, but have to
pay extra for timing.  Like only serious addicts need/want timing, and
DAMMIT, I'm one of those people!!!

My feelings exactly. It’s stupid expensive for a fan package. And today it did me no good with the schedule delay.  No way was I taking a chance on changing my picks any time close to Qualifying.

I did not see the original post that Vicki is referring to, but will opine
on today regardless

Definite Spoiler

First, I always get nervous and a bit bleak when medical teams spend so
much time stabilizing and evacuating a patient. I was starting to flash
back to Simoncelli, GRHS.

Second, I think that Vinales needs to grow up and grow a set of ovaries. As
much as I am not a fan of Marquez, I thought he played it fine - it's all
part of the game. What, are we going to ban shadowing? Then, maybe
drafting? Wait, maybe it should be against the rules to show a front wheel,
since the intimidation factor is so unsportsmanlike.

Interesting that Giacomo Agostini was there today. I would be interested in
his opinion of what Marquez did and how Viñales reacted to it.

Of course, I can imagine a less "refined" motorcycle racing era many years
ago, when you could just go find the other guy at the end of the day and
try an beat the s**t out of him, just before going to the bar and getting
loaded.
