Red Flags

KK's onto something which has bothered me for quite a while. I get the idea
of re-gridding based on the previous lap except it's now 2023 not 1933.
This practice is simply negligent, stoopid & poor (mis) management.  It's
easy to determine who's where at any given moment so that at the exact time
the Red Flag is "thrown" that present running order determines the new
grid. any someone deemed wholly (what about partially?) responsible for the
RF starts from Pit Lane as does anyone getting on a new bike as did
Quartoraro yesterday. Any actors otherwise, back 'O the grid. Simple and
righteous.                        Phil/NJ

I'm with you on this one, Phil. Why should my great start be penalized
because of someone else's actions?

It's probably a little harder than we all think because you never know
what's going to happen in a crash right?  Remember that one crash
where Morbidelli's bike was technically ahead of Rossi, yet the rider was
in the gravel pit?  It's definitely a bit more complex than we'd all like
to believe I think.

When it’s pretty cut and dry I think it’s not unreasonable to consider
using track placement for re-start grid positions
