Yesterday I helped a friend transport his old Speedster from Monterey to Menlo Park (about 100 miles). When realizing his plan was to flatbed it up, I meekly asked if I could maybe-perhaps-possibly drive it instead... no? And sure enough, this super laid-back Bay Area native let me have at it.
So yea, his precious little classic P-car (or nazi go-kart as my dad used to call them) is truly an orgasm to drive ... but also quite daunting when going fast on the HWY-9 canyon road up from Boulder Creek (which is among the best & most challenging moto roads in the world) -- luckily there were no traffic at all.
Yep, sometimes life is good ... really good.
Here's a quick selfie I shot while waiting for the owner to catch up -- twilight at the top of HWY-9/Skyline, the 4-corner intersection:
P.S: -- and yes, Tom Dressler (AKA "Fabio" https://tinyurl.com/2pcjt2h3 ) -- okay I promise to try making the Quail show this year ;-)

Love the photo Peer, very much the face of a guy having a fine day. Hope to see you at the Quail…

Looks like Bliss!A buddy recently let me track his Porsche like I owned it (or stole it?). Didn't think it could compare to 2 wheels, but I was wrong.
