[Ducati] My "run in with the law" story

Although I've been stopped on the street (too) many times riding a m/c, none 
of my police encounters are eventful enough to re-tell.  However, I do 
recall getting stopped by an officer as a 10 year old.
My house was about 5 blocks from the nearest field (providing access to 
miles and miles of trails, etc)  where I'd ride after school and on 
weekends.  So I had to push my Mini Trail 50 (then Yamaha enduro 80, then 
enduro 100) along the sidewalk before I could start it up and take off. 
Well, despite my folks trust in me, this got too tiring sometimes and I 
would occasionally start riding after only a few blocks.  One day I heard a 
siren behind me and a cop pulls up, not too impressed, and gives me a 
dressing down.  I was young and respectful of authority at the time, and 
almost wet my pants thinking I was in really big trouble.  He took down my 
info and sent me home.  He called my folks and I nearly got the bike taken 
away from me.  I vowed to just keep going next time I heard a siren!
