Coming off the island one afternoon, early, I did a clear over my shoulder and saw a car and a dumptruck barreling down the freeway so i dumped it to get clear and to pass the idiot that was ahead of me and couldn't make up his mind if the brake was the gas or the gas was the brake. I got clear then rolled off the throttle and got to a cruise speed with the rest of the traffic, which were all speeding.

Then I saw the "perty l'il lights" in my rearview, said a few explitives and chose a safe spot to pull over. Got off the bike and waited for the ossifer to approach me then I pulled off my helmet and my grey mane glistened in the sunlight. He took a step back and said he was expecting someone a whole lot younger! I laughed and said"Well I am!" to which he laughed.

He ran my plates and license and made a comment about me being a bad boy once to which I replied that I have been a very good boy since too! Well, apparently the "car" I saw with the truck was him and with me dumping it in front of him he had to pull me over to save face in the publics' eye.

Gave me a verbal and turned to walk back to his car to which I said "hey!" He turned kinda suspiciously towhich I gave him my hand and said "Thanks!". We grinned and parted ways.

Thing is, he had popped me one late evening when I was in my cage and geting off work late. I was just coming off the newly opened causeway and a 50mph speed limit. I was rolling 60mph. The alternator had gone south so I was trying to get home on battery power before I had to pull on my head lights and possibly drop the voltage below ignition threshold. I pointed out the voltmeter to him to which he said "Guess you'd better get rolling". handshake again and I rolled. Got home safe but the alternator cost an arm and a leg!!!
