31 years, and counting.'78 Yamaha Dt 100 (co-owned  w/1yr. older brother).. Traded for a fast, older snowmobile (Moto-Ski's version of a TNT 400). First streetbike; '74(I think?) RD 350, it had Ape-hangers on it when I bought it used. Switched the bars out for clip-ons and a TZ fairing. Next, a Kawasaki 400 2-stroke triple, had it ported out ( very fast for it's time). '84 RZ 350 w/ expansion chambers, probabley the most refined of my 2-stroke era bikes. Would actually tour hundreds of miles at a time on that one!
Lately, '84 900 Ninja. The red & grey one. Still fast for it's vintage, always thought the handling was a bit awkward, and finding 16" rubber for the front is a bitch. Now I ride a '01 748 w/ 21,000 miles on it, and I love it! Still have'nt reached it's handling limits, but I have fun trying and learning. Been getting between 45-60 mpg's with it, and I like that too! No major problems, just regular service, tires, brakes and battery.
Hopper, are most of those stories true? Holy sh&t, you should write a book!  Or at least be a motorcycle magazine editor ;).
