[Ducati] rude people lane splitting

People who don't understand how potentially dangerous lane-splitting is
shouldn't have anything to do with it. (Meaning butt-hole Suzuki guy, not
you Andy.) I usually try to keep one eye on a mirror to see if someone is
splitting faster than I am, but it's hard to divide your attention between
the narrow lane in front of you and anyone behind. If I spot someone coming
up fast behind me, I'll usually find a spot to slide over into the stream of
traffic and let them thru.
Every so often I get passed up by someone splitting at 80+ mph, too. I
rarely do it over about 35 or so. If traffic is going 40, I'm content to go
40 right along with them. Another time I won't split is if my lane is
stopped but the one next to me is going appreciably faster or has large
gaps. Too many times I've seen people jump over to the faster lane without
a signal or any other warning.
You get used to cagers being rude to you (or simply being oblivious), but
when one rider is rude to another, that gets my hair up.
