Late on the uptake but FWIW I have been riding my 2000 748 Bip with no
problems other than my fuel light didn't come on on my last ride of the year
for 2007. 2000 up got 50mm throttle bodies and the big alternator.
The bike's never overheated but I have when the fan comes on and the rad and
pipes radiate a fair bit of heat in slow traffic.
With a DP high windscreen, Corbin seat and CycleCat bars/risers it its a
good openroad/highway bike.
