Here is a bike I looked at and decided it is just too far away for me to
inspect. It has what looks like a lot of cosmetic damage from low speed
drops. Not being able to go see it because of the distances involved I
decided not to buy it. The owner cannot post to the list for some unknown
reason and she asked me to do it for her. I know nothing more about the
bike than is listed in the ad or what I have told you above. These are
very nice bikes though.

1998 Ducati 900ss fe, 19K miles, $5K OBO

http://www.sarigordon.com/galleries/duc900ssfe.htm

I'm giving up my 98 900ss fe (#295) because I need some money and the
duc needs better treatment than i can afford right now. i've had the
bike for 4 years and bought it from the original owner. The bike is
great mechanically and the frame is flawless. It's the body that took
a beating.

here's the 411:

# 19k miles, all street
# Open air box, +2 sprocket, re-jetted carbs and Dyno Tune done at
Manley Cycle in Minneapolis
# Oil and valves done on schedule; all work done at Manley and
Silverback, except by previous owner, who used Delano, where he
bought the bike.
# Due for a valve adjust and belt replacement (last one done 7000
miles ago)
# Been dropped twice--left side fairing scrapes; a tank dent on the
right and a belt/zipper gouge at crotch. Clutch lever has been
replaced since I took the pictures before putting the bike up for the
winter]
# $5,000 obo
