"list of "problems" with these bikes. They're claiming poor electrical
system, prone to stalling and overheating in traffic, a list of
parts that break or come loose regularly, etc."

Welcome to Ducati! Wouldn't trade in any of the problems for the world!
Love my bike.

I thought that the blur might have read 748 but I found a photo of a 998
that looked just like it so I guessed.....

Was the '99 748 a good bike? I found some Desmo club pages from Canada
describing a list of "problems" with these bikes. They're claiming poor
electrical system, prone to stalling and overheating in traffic, a list of
parts that break or come loose regularly, etc. Anyone ever have a lot of
problems like these? I've also found a 2002 748 for sale locally for a
couple thousand more. Is there
a lot of difference from '99 to '02? Thanks again.
