[Ducati] bike purchase advice needed

Not sure what they are talking about by 99 they were pretty well sorted out.
I have a 98 916 and I do not have any problems with it. The
Ducati electrical problems, mostly related to the alternator and the
regulator were fixed with the 99 model year. My 98 does not want to charge
well until 4K rpm and has a regulator fix installed. My 99 ST2 had none of
these problems. Over heating in traffic has not been an issue but I do try
to stay out of traffic because of the riding position. I got LSL clip on
risers and it fixed the riding problem for me. I have never had a problem
with parts coming loose but I do all my own work so it if does it is my
fault.
Have fun with what ever you try.
