standard battery for the late models was initially the YT12B4, then the YT12B-BS.  the hold down plate is alittle different, as the B4 has awider recess than the B-BS, whcih we first saw in ST3 models from memory.  the yuasa versions work great (B-BS in particular), the fiamms can be a bit dodgy in our experience.

not sure how one would go starting a big motor with the old starter drive ratio tho.  the greater CCA of the YB16AL-A2 might come into play there.
