Just signed up for the Track day! I don't know for sure if it is neccessary, but I purchased the STT Membership for an extra $35. Even if I didn't have to, it doesn't hurt to help those helping us. Plus, you get a T-shirt and some coupons. Bummer I didn't see any trackdays put on by them here in Texas.
Can't wait.

Thanks Mark for your well thought out and detailed post. At the risk of
sounding like a broken record, everybody involved with the 5 day IndyGP
Project Mugello package is committed to making it first rate. The Putnam
track day is no exception. MotoEuro magazine has signed on as a sponsor,
Ducati Indy is lending full support, the Ducati area rep is attending ,
Sport Bike Track Time always puts on a first rate event and I am racking my
brain for ways to raise this to a festival sort of day. We want people that
don't do track days to be involved in this one, even if they just come out
and do some Ducati demo rides, or do some laps behind a control rider to get
the feel for the track. Because it's on the tail end of the GP weekend I can
request for the GP riders to attend, it's within the request guidelines for
the DOC clubs. (it would be a complete miracle but it could happen, anybody
that knows me knows I dream in color). So bottom line is, sign up or run
the risk of having to listen to what a great day you missed. :-)
