[Ducati] 'Flushing' the clutch??

The chain hitting the swingarm could be from a loose chain. Or it could be
because the previous owner changed the gearing on the bike and now it has
clearance issues. I'm betting the chain is probably just loose. Get a rag
and push it "up". There should definitely be play, but it shouldn't feel
like a slinky
And by flushing the clutch, they just mean changing fluid. No big deal. Get
a service manual and do it.

Subject: [Ducati] 'Flushing' the clutch??
In the quest to check out my 'new' secondhand 749Dark, I had the local
Ducati dealer do a service and checkout. They changed the oil and fitted a
new rear tire (old one plugged - really badly) but said that all else was
fine. However the notes said ' Not urgent, but you might want to flush the
clutch sometime soon' What does that mean? (sorry to be such a n00b) Also I
notice that the drive chain has, at least at some point, taken the paint off
the swing arm. Is that normal?
Other than that, and some frequent underwear changes, am now getting used to
the bike. I am thinking it's going to be fun.
Thanks, by the way, to all that gave pointers as a result of my previous
post. I was expecting bike tips, but the personal fitness tips y'all gave
were a wake up call!
