[Ducati] Painting/Powdercoating Frame- Saving the VIN sticker?

Years ago when I had the frame replaced on my SS (long story), the shop just
etched the old frame number into the new frame. Never had a problem. When
I sold the old frame, I told the buyer that the frame number on the head
stock had been transferred to the new frame and would stay with the bike,
and that if he wanted to street the frame he'd have to have a new number
issued.

Since it's the same frame, there shouldn't be any trouble. Just drill or
etch the number into the head stock or have a new sticker made. As long as
the frame number matches the title, you shouldn't have any problems.
