[Ducati] SS750 chain adjustment

Good morning Vicki - hope you can put this up for some assistance;

The Sliding Block and Nut FELL OFF my 1993 SS750 - I have to adjust the
chain and tighten the nuts every time I ride, as they get loose. There is
not locking-mechanism for these two nuts on my bike (not sure if it a design
fault or just my bike).  Does anyone else have this dilemma and if so, how
did you resolve it??
