Buy some Nichols motor mounts. You can get them from Nichols, which is in the bay area of SF. Chris @ CA cycleworks can also get these for you. I insalled them on my 93ss. In addition they are much stronger and a little bit bigger. I had to Hone my motor, and drill my frame to install them. Good Luck

personally, i'd just drill the frame to take the larger bolts, but make sure the bolt heads and nut fit inside the ss frame first.  they might not fit.  you'll probably need a longer rear bolt as the old ss frame will have the threaded lug on the rh rear.

i'm sure the steering head area will crack before the engine mounts anyway.
