Maybe not the ideal solution -- I know everyone has their own opinion about
Cycle Gear -- but I've started buying tires from them because for 10% of the
purchase price they'll sell you road hazard coverage.  If the tire is
damaged I think in the first 50% of tread wear, they'll replace it.  I went
that route one summer after my 3rd set of tires in 2 months.  =(
