All things considered, I kinda doubt it, too. For one thing, the victim's
dead so no one will ever hear his perspective on the incident. That's what
law enforcement does, though. They investigate and add up the evidence, the
DA decides whether he has a case and what charge(s) the evidence will
support, and then takes it to court. Most of the time the process works
pretty well. (Before people jump on me, I'm well aware that it doesn't
ALWAYS work well.)
So, since we're armchair quarterbacking...how do people think this will
end? Murder conviction? Manslaughter conviction? No trial? Trial with
acquittal?
