I'm saying it would be one hell of a "lucky shot," even if the angle 
were directly linear, which the details presented don't support.

Impossible? No, stranger things have certainly happened (e.g. Oswald). 
Occurred as has been interpreted from what was reported? I seriously 
doubt it. I can't stand in my driveway and be directly behind something 
moving down the street and the shot was made under a stressful situation 
(claim of self defense).

The investigators will be lucky to sort out the facts as best they can 
for court. I suspect we're missing a lot of those facts and it 
undermines the media's attempt, however noble, to convey what actually 
happened.

Way too easy to armchair quarterback it while having only a vague notion 
of what a football looks like.
