I used a set of Ortleib dry bag saddlebags with a medium sized Motofizz tailbag last year on my six week trip in Europe. I was on a 99 900ss. It seems like I was riding in the rain more often than not, but my gear always stayed dry.
   
  The medium size tailbag is almost too large (funny how what you pack expands to fit the available space) and I'd probably go with a small if I was to do it again.
