[Ducati] Back in Black

Well Hopper,

you're not far away, come on up and check out them roads. John Whiting will
hopefully be here this coming weekend, along with Staton Shed and the gang.
John is right about the mental aspects, really no drop off when you are an
old geezer like me with nearly a half century of experience, just
appreciation. After all, being firmly in the grip of dementia, I still think
of Rossi as an up and comer who will be challenging me soon.......

Meanwhile, as I have not had a lot of time to make mods to the bike yet, it
is sort of pre photogenic. True, I never mounted the
handguard/mirror/turnsignals on it. Currently both sides feature CRG lane
splitters (in black, duh). Front turn signals? really small, definitely
illegal little lites, now mounted in a temp place (*sticking up from the
clutch and brake top bolt clamps to handlebars) and not even hooked up.
Destination, they will get a black plastic mount bracket that puts them off
the front fender mount is the projected project. Levers? awful, they are
just alum finish (stock), but black CRG shorty levers are in the wings.
However a mod must be made to get CRG lever to operate the brake lite.

Internal? Well it turns out that for the HM 1100, the valve stem diameter
is smaller, so Martin Brickwood 2V collets don't fit. Seems that it will
take 4V collets. So that remains to be sorted out.

Perhaps the master Alex Ortner will cut me some slack for a work in
progress? After all, I only had the bike in my posssesion for about 26
hours and 600 miles.

Peter
