    Hopper, the nuts on my 900SS micro switch measure 4mm across the flats.  Could be an M2 size with a 0.4 pitch.  Got a 1/4" drive 4mm socket? Stuff a little wad of paper into it and put the nut in far enough so it doesn't fall right out. Too deep and the threads won't grab the nut.
Maybe a little light holding  Loctite?  Good luck.  Also a  5/32" socket, 0.156",  might work, too.
