[Ducati] 2 threads in one (touring and bump starting)

Suddenly, I'm reminded of a woman I met at Dulles Airport once. She had just
ridden across most of the country on the back of her husband's bike, and was
flying home, quiting shy of the halfway mark. What seemed like a good idea
to her when they first thought of it, turned into an ordeal for her.
Apparently, they came to a mutual agreement that they would both have a
better time if she flew home, and he continued on alone (I can't remember if
they were part of a larger group or not). As I recall, they had done short
trips together.
Just goes to show you, you can't know for sure about how something will
work, or not, until you do it. Unfortunately, you sometimes discover things
right in the middle of it all.
