[Ducati] 900ss battery

My experience with this battery that Don mentions below has been
different. I'm a bit of a fanatic for reducing weight, so I badly
wanted this battery to perform well. My experience is that this battery
has limited capability to cold crank my essentially stock Ducati 900
motor. I have several motorcycles, so I may not ride my Ducati for
weeks at a time. When I try to start it after it has been idle for that
long, it had better fire by the 3rd attempt, or I must park it, put it
back on the Battery Tender, and come back later for another try. Once
it has started, it will re-start just fine. If I ride it several times
in a given week, it will start fine. But, if it has not been started
for a while, it is a crap-shoot. I have Rich Roberts' ignition wires on
my bike. Anyone else have similar results with this battery? I still
use it despite this.

Yuasa YTZ 7S ... Tiny, powerful, and sealed.
4 Guage High Quality wire from battery to solenoid and solenoid to
starter.
(I use stuff from an auto stereo installer w/ gold plated crimped on
ends).
This (the heavy gauge wire) makes a huge difference ...
