[Ducati] I lost a friend today

It has been probably 10+ years since I heard the story. The gist of
which was that McQueen was 3 sheets to the wind, it was early in the
morning (after sunrise, though), McQueen was driving too fast for his
condition, and ended up over a curb into someone's yard. Bear was on
the scene, helped McQueen by getting him up and out of the car and
taking him back to his place, and then, as I remember correctly,
adjusting the story somewhat as needed for the police report (I don't
think McQueen was ever there in the adjusted story). I am sure he
mentioned the kind of car, but for historical accuracy, I would hate to
say 'for sure'. I think it was an MG or Porsche, FWIW.

John,
Sorry to hear about the loss of Bear. Sounds like a man that any of us
would have welcomed the opportunity to spend time with.
As I sit here reading the book I got for Christmas, McQueen's Machines
(2007), I was particularly curious about the crash that Bear assisted
McQueen out of. Any idea the type of car?
My condolences to you and to Bear's family.
