I remember that day John,

it was not at all fun to be sitting up the road a ways, thinking something
happened, and hoping it was a motor failure or something, and then riding
back to find you in pain at the site of the wreck. Fortunately there had
been no oncoming cars or other dangers to make a bad situation worse.
Certainly we have met some nice folks of all motorcycle persuasions on
various rides. Heck, even some of the BMW guys can be nice   <grin>

Meanwhile it was so nice up here, I even put the top down on my BMW (4
wheels, the good kind) yesterday, so Staton's dream of 45F+ for Feb 1st
doesn't seem to unrealistic for a hill country ride. Hoping that young fella
Hopper will be able to make the trip too, an old geezer like me loves to see
these kids zooming thru the countryside. (yeah Hopper, that is right,
compared to a really old guy like me, you are just a kid). This coming
weekend would have been good, temps up in the 80's expected but I am busy on
a report due next tuesday.
