It's a neat shirt but don't know if it is anti-harley. There are lots of cruisers with loud pipes, with two Victory's in the stable I'm probably guilty of the pipe part although my Bassani 2-1 on the Kingpin has a nice tone to it and is not that loud. Let's see The Monster 900 and ST3 both have termi's so they probably offend some. The S2R1000 has an open, reverse cone, SS system from ARC, which I'm sure some would consider offensive. As to the 2nd part, which is what I think the point of the shirt is, sadly I think the message hits home with too many cruiser riders, too many of them buy them thinking they can just run up and down the Blvd - how hard can that be - and discover they still need to be able to stop, turn etc... I know some folks like that, cannot not pull a u-turn on a two lane road on their best day, and paddle their way through parking lots. I've also noticed as of late they are the same ones who subscribe to the 10 under rule, if its posted 55 MPH speed limit they t
hink 45 MPH is safer for some reason. I understand why they think that, with no helmet, jeans, and a T-shirt as their riding ensemble they probably cannot stand to go the speed limit. But you know I've also seen some sport bike riders, riding around Daytona and Myrtle beach wearing a color matched leather jacket, open and unzipped of course, with the ~$500 helmet attched to the helmet lock, shorts, and tennis shoes. I think the only thing missing from the shirt is another message on the front that Says "Imagine what wearing Safety Gear would do". Hmm, think I will have some made up - in Ducati Red of course. At the end of the day, the general public and the politicians put us all in the same category, motorcyclist, and in my view we need to police ourselves before they shut us down - which means we've got to get along, get to know one another, and then just maybe we can influence a few of our fellow riders to take some riding classes, put some gear on, and tone down the exhaust jus
t a little. - Gene
