[Ducati] Happy New Year!

Awesome Kevin,

and looking forward to seeing you yet again at the Hill House. After the
recent messages, don't know if George will be bringing a Harley, but if I
had an XR750, I would gladly ride it and see if any Ducati boys could keep
up (which is not likely, Springsteen rode one rather well at Mid Ohio as I
recall, last time I raced there).

However for Barry, the absolute best dial indicator for his needs is a
Browne and Sharpe 7033 model which has over .030" of travel, perfect for his
needs. Not that much more (dollar wise) than the crap stuff from china etc.
Look into the mighty mite mag holder.

Most of all, it is New Years, so happy new year to everybody. Meanwhile, it
sure was nice that it was so bloody hot, I put the top down on the BMW
today. (ok, lousy bikes (BMW) compared to a moto guzzi but they sure make
great cars). Meanwhile, Staton is hoping for good weather for Feb1, but no
guarantees. We have a cold spell coming in for the next few days, but by
week's end, temperatures are expected in the 80's. No long range forecast
for Feb 1 tho.

Meanwhile, you Packer fans keep the faith, sure you got blown out in cold
weather in Chicago, but your scrubs easily beat a team that only lost to
Dallas because their field goal kicker missed an easy one, and they failed
to fall on yet another Romo fumble (to say nothing of the 12th man, the
officials that give Dallas so many good calls). Take heart, Dallas hasn't
won a playoff game in 10 years, and Coach Phillips never won one as a head
coach. Plus of course that Romo has thrown 1 TD and 5 interceptions in the
last three games, even without a ditzy dame in attendance.

Go HD, GO Packers...... And for MotoGP, GO Ducati GO! (WSB too)

hopefully now everyone has lots of winter threads to piss on. Meanwhile, its
too bloody hot, time to go riding.......Sure hope the parts for the HMS come
in soon.

peter

> May we all have a full, and fulfilling, new year. Here's to a long and
varied road, complete with every twist and turn that leaves you laughing out
loud inside your helmet. Here's to the slips and slides that quicken our
hearts, and remind us we are alive and o so fragile and mortal; may they
leave us unscathed,... and also laughing out loud inside our helmets. Here's
to the support, assistance and camradarie that our shared passion brings us.
Here's to those of us I've already met, and whose company I've enjoyed (and
whose roadside assistance I appreciate more than I can say); and to those
I've yet to meet, wherever you are. Here's to another great weekend at
Laguna Seca and Hill House (the check's in the mail). And, of course, here's
to the continued success of the Ducati motorcycle and marque, both on the
racetrack and on the road (not to mention in the production and sales
numbers).

the title that was stolen from him 2 seasons ago; hoping that Suzuki can
give him an 800cc bike that better suits his style than the Ducati of last
season did, and that he has at least one more year in him of peak riding in
him ("Remember that age and treachery will always triumph over youth and
