We are lucky here because the NC mountains are west of us so we ride up in 
the morning with the sun in our backs and home is the same.  In the winter 
we have to ride east to get good roads that are low enough to be warm and 
snow free.  I hate the afternoon ride home and I have been riding for about 
35  years .
