Hello Paul,

Like most things in life it depends on just how you are going to use your
bike and just how picky mechanically you are.

1. If you scoot over to Starbucks twice a week, I'd say your good to go.
2. If you like doing trackdays and find yourself WOT most of the time your
on your bike, I'd suggest a PCIII USB.
3. Anything in between is a personal choice, or a matter of cost.

If you have the proper "Chip", ( you bike doesn't have a swappable chip, it
has had it's 5.9 ECU replaced with one that came with your new Termis). The
5.9 can't be tweaked, so one of the most popular ways of correcting the fuel
mapping for your pipes and filters is with the PCIII USB and some Dyno time.
You should be fine for casual use, but if your riding like most of us do the
the PCIII. It will net you some additional horsepower from your engine
setup. I for one can't see leaving HP inside of the motor while netting more
mileage from the fuel tank as well as improving the operation
(better throttle response) of the engine.

Want even more power? Open the air inlets and remove the screens. They are
so restrictive! This will allow your new filters to really make a difference
and function as they are designed to do!

I have a friend with a 998 with exactly the same setup that you have and we
will be installing a PCIII and loading it on the dyno for tuning in a week
or two. Ping me off list and I'll let you know how it comes out.

Have fun and enjoy!
