Jim, somewhat confused by your question. They did not make an S2R1000 in 02', they made an S4, first year for the S4R was 2003. 2006 was the first model year for the S2R1000. And the S2R comes stock with Marchesini, the Carrozzeria would not be lighter. According to the Moto Wheels web site the 5 spoke Marchesini wheels weigh 6.8 in front and 8.7 in rear vs the Carrozzeria 7.8 in front, 13.4 in the rear. I put the Dymag CF/Mag wheels on my S2R, for two reasons I liked the look of the white wheels, but not how they got dirty after 5 miles - so I got white spokes and cost. And I can tell you there is a very noticeable difference between the stock Marchesini and this set-up. Here is a picture of them on my S2R, look at the last several pictures http://www.mad-ducati.com/GalleryShowTN.php?GalleryId=360. FWIW I just put a set of the Carrozzeria wheels on my ST3, which had the 5 spoke brembo and save 17 lbs, here is a link http://www.ducpond.com/cs_st3wheels.html. Regards - Gene
