Max should be fine. The manufacturer should have allowed for expansion.
Just be sure to clean the area well and watch out for spills. Brake fluid
is a fairly good paint remover and can damage anodizing too.

Subject: [Ducati] 02 748 Brakes
Hoping someone can give me some information about fluid levels on front and
rear brake reservoirs.
I have just spent quite some time replacing my front brake master cylinder
with a new item and had to bleed the brake system from scratch, plus I
renewed the rear brake fluid.
My question is can the fluid level be at MAX or should I leave some room for
expansion due to heat.
I currently have the fluid levels at MAX hoping that's OK?
Thanks
