[Ducati] Not entirely NDC Front wheel bearings

Dear List
Please lend some experience. I am busy with a small project at the
moment that involves my Husky 410, Cagiva Mito wheels, an SS 750 front
end and some Mito plastic amongst other things.

Question is:

Forks are for the 25mm axle. Mito bearings are 6004 (42mm od, 20mm id
12mm thick and 9360N dynamic load). I can use the 61905 bearing (42mm
od, 25mm id, 9mm thick and 6630N dynamic load) with spacers on the
inside but am nervous about the 30% reduction in dynamic load capacity.

Has anyone out there tried a swap like this - I think it may have
cropped up before with 20mm axle wheels on 25mm axle forks - and if so,
do the bearings hold up for a reasonable period or not?

I can reverse the axle, clamp the 25mm end of the 20mm axle in the left
leg and machine up a spacer for the right leg but was just
wondering.........

Stuart
