[Ducati] 748/749 Vices...749 Exhaust?

To begin, I would like to mention that I have had my 749 for three years and
absolutely love it! The only thing it needs at this point is aftermarket
pipes and I have been looking into a Remus exhaust system and I would like
to know if anyone has had experience with the Remus on a 749? Also, is this
a fairly easy job that I could possibly do myself? Finally, I am looking at
purchasing the system online from California Cycleworks and I was wondering
if anyone has any feedback on California Cycleworks?
Thanks in advance for any help!
George

I own a 748 and love the bike, but there are a few things to look out for,
like rocker problems, the cush bolts on the single sided swing arm will
start backing out, the alternator nut needs to be periodically checked
because of loosening off, these are only a few of the known problems, there
is a lot of info on these bikes if you google info. I don't know as much
about the 749 but the testastretta has a stronger reputation, and others
have spoke highly of the 749 as far as reliability is concerned.
I do love my 748 and if you are mechanically inclined you will be able to
take care of most of the problems that you may come across with this bike.
If going with the 748 and if it was used on the track a lot with high revs
be concerned about rocker issues, and if lots of miles on the bike be
concerned about the crankshaft galley plug, they have a tendency to back out
after time. Hope this helps, maybe someone else can give some more info on
the 749.
