greetings earthlings,
For my SS, I used some aluminum bar & sheet. Cut the 1/32" sheet to the shape of the license plate and drill the mounting holes to match up. Drill the 1/2" by 3/32" by (width of plate) long bar stock to mount to the existing holes in the rear fender, using about 1/4"spacers between the bar and fender. Bolt the license plate and aluminum sheet together using the top holes. Bolt this assembly to the bar, using the lower mounting holes in the license plate. Spacers are needed to clear the bolt heads of the fender mounting. From the rear, all you see is the license plate, no aluminum showing. Spacer thickness is determined by bolt head thickness. Confused? License plate, aluminum sheet, spacers at bottom corners, bar stock, spacers, fender. Hope this is clear.
ciao,
Fred Hecker
