Yes, once again, it is time for the gathering. Already Staton, John, and
Scott have arrrived in Kursedville. Naturally John is in a terrible mood
since Tom C. got the Desmosedici that should have gone to John, so that
means he will ride fast and hard, leaving us all in the dust. Oh woe, poor
me, all I have to ride is my dirt bike, altho at least the HM has street
tyres on it. With a mere 660 miles on the clock since monday, I fully expect
to be the laggard as I follow the fast guys through the devious hill country
of Texas, with temperature dropping into the 60s, making cold roads and
tyres. But I have tried an assortment of clothing, including a top layer of
Aero Darian Lite that should prevent any major chills. Unfortunately the
thick Burton snowboard gloves provide less than optimal feel as I am
relegated to the back of the pack, but at least my hands are actually
sweating from the heat when pulled out at a gas stop, likely to be a
frequent event on the HM. However I have a secret weapon on short notice. 3
quarts of gas in three alum containers. Not exactly Gary Egan approved, but
it beats pushing......

Stay tuned for the news

Peter
