Try looking at the lever at your master cylinder.   If you have a lot of 
travel before it engages the clutch try adjusting the little barrel in the 
lever where it goes into the master cylinder.  Ducati puts some goop in 
there so it will not move.  I usually just remove the lever and use an awl 
to pick it out.  Be sure to be careful you do not impale your self with the 
awl.  Don't ask. :-)

My 95 Sp still gives me a bad time finding neutral if I dont have on a hard 
shoe or boot. No problem when I have my boots on.
