[Ducati] Finding Neutral

Hey Folks, aside from bleeding the clutch, is there a way of making the  
transmission less notchy and neutral more easy to find?
My 748 is a pain in the butt, but my 998s is worse.
I can usually kick it into neutral as I coast to a stop on the 748, but on  
the 998s, I usually end up kicking it up to second, and it's impossible once at 
 a standstill to find neutral.
