[Ducati] Multistrada - Termis or stock?

I have the Sargent seat, front portion only. I like it, a little firmer than I thought it would but comfortable enough for a +500 day.

There is recall for the oil lines so check that it was done. Another thing to look for is a low speed shutter that effects some when appling the front brake.

Hi George,

I put the Termi cans (not the full system) on my '03 Multistradivarius
before it left the dealer. They came with a chip.

Later on I added Arrow headers and collector to eliminate the cat. Big
improvement in sound and I think it was richened up a bit, but the chip
remained the same.

I think the cans alone made a major change in exhaust flow as the chip was
required, but getting rid of the cat made a major difference in the way it
sounded.

Different dealers will do different things regarding the stand. Some will
replace and others will not. I believe the only ones authorized to be
replaced are the early '05's that came with the old stand. Whether your
dealer will cover it or not, make the change. The old stand is crap. The
new one is soooo much better.

My low fuel warning light comes on when there is still almost half a tank,
but that's just a mental adjustment.

My valve guides went south at about 18,000 miles and DNA covered the fix.

I got the large plastic panniers and sort of wish I had waited. They hold a
lot of stuff and detach easily to be suitcases, but they seem so huge when
on the bike. They're good though.

I haven't found a good tank bag for it, but haven't looked that hard. Does
anyone have a suggestion?

I'm riding to Miller next month and may replace the seat with either the DP
comfort seat or the Sargent. Can't decide. The DP will add a 1/2 inch of
height to an already tall seat but the Sargent may not be as cushy. I do
prefer cell foam to gel though, so may go with the Sargent.

The bike is great. It's easily my most frequent ride. You're going to love
it.

Alec
