A new wrinkle to this line of thinking (hiding bikes)....a "Corollary" if
you will...

If a 1098S is dropped off for service at dealer...but a 1098R is on the
trailer for the return trip....Is that considered buying a New bike...or
merely making an on-the-fly substitution...ya know...like in hockey :-)
Wife *might* notice gold wheels....but those could have been "traded for my
old black ones at dealer for minimal cost"  (carefully omitting that an
entire bike was also traded along with the wheels)
Once the sharkskinz go back on...no other visible differences... [Hidden in
plain sight!!]
Hmmmm...(just kidding ;-)

The operative term in discussing this matter with spouse is:
"INVESTMENT".  DO NOT throw around terms like buying another motorcycle
or anything remotely revealing as to your 'habit'.
Example:  "I think I have made an excellent investment in Ducati this
week, honey, and I expect that INVESTMENT to grow with time". Later:
"The contraction of the USD against the Euro is already increased the
yield of my INVESTMENT".
That covers the one you don't ride.
HIDE the other one.....
