[Ducati] (was Sweet) - Now = Profound Discovery

The operative term in discussing this matter with spouse is:
"INVESTMENT". DO NOT throw around terms like buying another motorcycle
or anything remotely revealing as to your 'habit'.

Example: "I think I have made an excellent investment in Ducati this
week, honey, and I expect that INVESTMENT to grow with time". Later:
"The contraction of the USD against the Euro is already increased the
yield of my INVESTMENT".

That covers the one you don't ride.

HIDE the other one.....rental stall, very close friend that you have
dirt on, even closer friend that has spare footage in his safe room and
is scared of motorcycles, etc.

J/K.

I came clean from inception of the downpayments...over a plate of spicy
buffalo wings. You want to really have an impactful dinner or posh
night out to break the news on things like this with your significant
other.

Seriously, when I 'sorta' believed that Ducati was only going to build
450, I put down 2 deposits, with the realization that I might experience
the ol' Ducati limited edition 2 step. At that rate (450) of build, I
figured that buying 2 WAS an investment (See, I had myself
convinced....that is important, because you never want to get caught
lying to your husband/wife about investments). Alas, 1500 now, but at
least I think we are past the risk of a general release in 2009 of the
990 in a slightly detuned version with lesser quality components for
$30K.

So now my official line is: Back up bike for parts. I am going to save
a mint on parts. Yeah...........right.

So John - Guess your wife doesn't read this list.....and neither does
mine
:-)

Now...onto the Profound Discovery:
Based on your last message...
If I tell my wife that I'm buying *A* bike....but then really go out and
buy TWO identical bikes....as long as she never sees them sitting next
to
each other....You're telling me that it's all Good!? :-)
("If a tree falls in the forest....")

Regards,
Joe
