[Ducati] Today's big story

no arguements from me as to which laps faster, but the power to weight is about 1 HP per 1.5 lbs for a motogp, versus about?1 HP per 1.8 lbs w/ the V8 and 1 HP per 1.4 lbs w/ the V10,and the 800's are still in the early stages w/ more HP on the way,so power to weight alone is fairly equal, but of course F1 gets it to the ground better, and the electronic packages and not to mention transmissions are clearly way ahead in getting the best out of their engines

Per Wikipedia....?
?
The combination of light weight (605 kg in race trim), power (950 bhp with the 3.0 L V10, 730 bhp (544 kW) with the 2007 regulation 2.4 L V8), aerodynamics, and ultra-high performance tyres is what gives the F1 car its performance figures.?
?
So with the metric/english conversion.....730bhp at approx. 1,304lbs?
