The other thing you can do (in general) is pop open the flasher relay,
look at the chip, look up the data sheet, and substitute resistor
values until you change the 'error' blink rate to something
reasonable.  I subbed a flasher relay on my 748 from Napa and did
this.  It was way cheaper and faster than ordering the one for the
bike.  Also, I'd eventually like to get the LED lights (or make my
own), and one of the benefits of this that I say is reduced current
draw in operation.  That doesn't happen if you put in load resistors.
