I agree, the 250 race was great. Nice battle in back of MotoGP race,
too. The Capirossi move after Dovisioso? tried to knife through under
Toseland was very amazing.

My wife heard me screaming "NOoooooooo!" when Hayden 'crashed' only to
save it. It rivalled Edwards save in practice, which I caught on you
tube from an Aprilia forum post. Two very cool saves from 2 cool
customers. Edwards was waving to the crowds 2 secs after his elbow down
save. Hell, it took me a couple of minutes to get my heart rate down
after watching them.

I think this is going to be a hell of a season, and Lorenzo is
definitely in the hunt with Pedrosa, Stoner and Rossi. I sincerely hope
Hayden can battle at the front soon. I started to cheer for that kid
from the day I saw him racing Duhamel at Sears Point while riding for
Hypercycle Suzuki, after his banzai passing move on the final lap proved
to be too much for the front tire and he binned it. Duhamel picked him
up on the cool down lap and took him back to the pits, but you knew he
was on his way to something special. He may not fit the articulate
image of a world champion that many want or need, but he does have a lot
of heart.

And what better rider to wear the John Deere livery? 8=)

Boy that feels funny just to TYPE, in the same sentence.

I go both ways......red AND orange, as many of you know ...and my KTM
friends tell me that Deere is a becoming a bigger sponsor because they
have really ramped up operations in the UK , France ,Germany and Spain.
Also China and Brazil. And with our weak dollar they are certainly
catering to foreign sales these days. KTM makes a smart partner for them
if you think about it....I've never seen a farm without at least ONE
dirt bike in the barn or garage.

I too agree though, that there MUST be some underlying AMA-NASCAR
conspiracy. Which is fine though when you think about it - because given
all the environmentalist pressure and disdain for motorsport globally ,
EVENTUALLY we will only be left with one hybrid class of competition.
I'm thinking NASCAR drivers , running electric open wheel cars with a
corn-oil motorcycle support series.

It was cool to see the MotoGP results "on paper" ....Rossi back on the
pace..Hayden too.....Stoner reminding us he is both young AND human.

But I have to say that that 250 race was among the best races I've ever
watched in my life. Normally I skip the 250's because I really don't
follow who's "come up" from 125's etc.....but after Jerez I am hooked.
Talk about (annoying) NASCAR......before 1 and 2 took each other out
they were tradin' paint like ANIMALS. What a sick race.
