[Ducati] how I handle stress

So I'm showering after work today, and my 17 year old son comes in to the
room and says, "Yo Dad, I think we got a problem." That's never really a
good thing for any Dad to hear, especially when he continues and says, "I
dropped the ladder on the Ducati." Now I begin to process information very
rapidly. First I think how much it sucks that just last night I pulled the
battery to replace it and didn't put the cover back on, so there goes the
first line of defense against damage. The next thought is that there is
currently no ladder in the garage, and for him to go get a ladder from the
shed to do any kind of unsolicited work (?)would mean he had suffered some
sort of brain trauma, so that allowed the calmly spoken response, " Well I
certainly hope you're kidding. . . " At this point he cracks and laughs, and
says, "Damn, I can't keep a straight face- April Fools!" I told him he was a
poor planner. He should have come in and said that he dropped one of the
bike stands that hangs on the wall over the bike. That might have made a
little more sense.

Don't you want to just kill them. . . . ?

Steve
